Lugawan @ the Roozen Hall, a fund-raising activity for the 2nd National Rural Congress, was held last May 3, 2008, Saturday at the Roozen Hall of the Church. 
 

A Leap of HOPE Piano Concert

Last February 29, 2008 the Parish of St. John Bosco hosted A Leap of Hope Piano Concert, a fund-raising activity to enhance the acoustics and lighting systems of the Church and to purchase other equipment for the Church's various celebrations. Mr. Jovianney Emmanuel Cruz, a well-renowned pianist, performed his choice repertoire and two encores before an audience-packed Church, all elegantly dressed for the occasion. With him were Ms. Rechelle Alcances on violin and Antoni Josef Inacay on cello.  The show was emceed by actress. Ms. Lucy Torres. 

A Sacred Space - A Photo Exhibit by Menchit Ongpin

A Sacred Space, a photo exhibit by Ms. Menchit Ongpin, drew focus to the aesthetics of our church.  This exhibit showed expressions of the church in quite a different perspective and meaning.  For Menchit, what started as a hobby through membership in Club de Camera Digital, turned out to be an unraveling of her artistic and even entrepreneurial talent.  Also a daily Mass goer, Menchit was introduced by church volunteers, Ms. Diva and Ms Marlyn Po to Fr. Manny who prompted Menchit to mount a photo exhibit of the church originally as part of the previous year's fiesta celebration but which pushed through in time for Project HOPE.  The exhibit finally came into fruition last February 5, 2008 with the photos drawing spiritual meaning with their inspirational passages coming from Project HOPE's core group.  The occasion was graced by former President Cory Aquino and benefactors of the parish.
 

Social Services Ministry and the Urban Poor Families

The Social Services Ministry conducted an orientation on October 12, 2007 of its 300 urban poor families with less than P5,000 income per month.  The beneficiary families will be entitled to the children's educational scholarship, livelihood training and health care programs.

Sharing St. Marie Eugenie to the SJB Community

On September 15, 2007, St. John Bosco parish in collaboration with the Sisters of the Assumption at San Lorenzo Village had a presentation of this dear saint to our parish community.  The celebration was marked by a mass concelebrated by nine priests at 6:00PM, which was attended by alumnae and friends of the Assumption College and our parish community.
