WOMEN'S LEAGUE
(CWL) - ST. JOHN BOSCO PARISH MAKATI CITY
The Catholic Women's
Leage (CWL) is a nationwide Catholic organization for women
founded in 1919 by the late Archbishop Michael O'Doherty of
Manila.
The St. John Bosco
Parish's CWL unit was organized in 1977 and installed Mrs. Lydia
B. Coloma as its first president. Through the cooperation of
all its members three statues of the church have been acquired.
Our Lady of Sorrows, the Santo Entierro and the Risen Christ.
The CWL also spearheaded the putting up of the statues of Mary
Help of Christians at street corners.

OUR MISSION:
We commit ourselves
to respond to the challenges of the Church of our times
Pursuing the
advocacy of Christian womanhood, fostering value formation of the
Youth, strengthening families, by inculcating Christian values,
supporting seminaries, ministering to the spiritual and temporal
welfare of prisoners, preserving and nurturing a sustainable
environment.
